This is me! The dreams, the nightmares, and the reality it has all helped me to become who is writing this today. My testimony is not clean and it’s not pretty. I can only tell my side of the events. Some things are better left unsaid. This may be true; however, some things need to be said. The Bible declares in the book of Revelation that we overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony. I’m here to share my story with you and help you understand that just because you had to suffer a few things doesn’t mean there isn’t a brighter end to all of it. My life has taught me discipline. Though discipline is never comfortable, it’s rewarding.
The Pastor
Before The Place of Reconciliation was founded as a church, Apostle Calvin and Pastor Tori Dixon hosted weekly Bible studies in the homes of their family members in the Panola County area. Before long, the Dixons opened the doors of their own home for Bible study in a living room with standing room only. While Apostle Dixon taught the Word and fed the people spiritually, Pastor Dixon prepared home-cooked meals to feed them physically. She said that God told her to feed His sheep, and both of them made sure to do exactly that.
Along with Bible study, Apostle and Pastor Dixon began having regular services called Friday Night Fire and Sunday Night Glory at what once was Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Courtland, MS. The services were so filled with the presence of God that the sanctuary would often be filled.
God spoke to the leaders and informed them that the Season of reconciliation had ended and that we are walking in the land of plenty. After much prayer and consulting with our Spiritual Leaders, God confirmed as we we obeyed and changed the name of our tribe and ministry changed to The Storehouse. The Storehouse Church of God In Christ is now a part of the Tennessee Metropolitan Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction. The Storehouse has been serving its community for 10 years.
He is a humble vessel and an honest voice in the kingdom. His ministry is geared to the people who are considered outcasts and “black sheep.” His testimonies are some that can free those who truly desire to be free. He desires that no life be lost because of a lack of knowledge about this disease. Although he is 38 years of age, he has great wisdom and realizes his life is just beginning. He is grateful for every opportunity to empower, encourage, and edify!
